Poetry Challenge – 9 words

Another poetic contribution, this one on Butch-Femme.com.

Altar ~ Denial ~ Mold ~ Frenzy ~ Heal ~ Label ~ Bare ~ Heart ~ Life

Before me stands the altar.
Cold stone,
as hard as my heart.

Laid bare,
to love with its moments of frenzy,
with its power to heal,
whilst denial oozes,
filling the mold of my life.

The sacrificial dagger,
its handle encrusted with gems,
plunges.

Causes the encasing stone to shatter,
piercing the throbbing mass.
A ray of light in the darkness,
blinks my eyes, carries me home.
Alive again!

No label upon it,
the once barred door opens,
welcoming me,
into her arms.
